Yesterday Hero, Tomorrow Murderer.

I know it rarely happens but if you want to be disapointed or
feel helpless, I definitely recommend you to watch
"Watashi ha kai ni naritai(わたしは貝になりたい)"
I don't know it has Eiglish subtitle version but This is the movie
I'll never forget.

This movie is basically set the situation as WW focusing on
a man who got an invitation letter from goverment, which is called "red paper" 赤紙(aka-gami)in Japanese because the letter literally colored in red. And the invitaiton means you are picked up as a solder to go to the war.

Roughly let me explain on the movie.
Japan was beated in WW2. And after the war is ended, US or United Nations
executed trials for the persons who took part in a war and killed people
in foriegn countires. In the war time, they were enemies for them and it
was natural to do it (of course it is never natural, i know)decause Japan
was a country of the emperor and at that time if you behave like you are
against from emperor's order, you are not seen as a nomal human and people
were afriad to be eliminated by neibours and society. (In basic Japan
is an island isolated from other continent and it made a culture easily that
cooperation is the essential matter to survive in that small island. then
For us Japanese it is more important to live in harmony with people rather than being indipendent like Eastern countries do.)

In short, emperor is God for Japanese and ignoring goverment order means death.
(in war time goverment is totally under the control of emperor. Of course,
now emperor is separeted from politics and just a symbol od Japanese citizens)
Moreover, you can be admired as a hero if you go to the war and killed emenies.
because it's a huge contribution for Emperor who wants to win the war!

During the movie you can find a scene that a man got an solder invitation
was oedered to kill an American solder. He was shrinked up and couldn't
easily execute the cruciel order by his boss. but his boss doesn't allow him to
stop to kill the American solder then the boss put a gun on the head of the man
and ordered him to execute the murder again. This is dead or alive.
If you refused your boss's order, you will die. Where is the origine of the boss's order? Emperor.
As a result, The man couldn't kill the americam solder and panished badly.
(but the audience know the fact later on this scene)

And the war is over. as I mentioned above, Japan lost.
What happen then? The United Nations decided to find the
JApanese who killed people in United Nation side and
execute judgements. the guilty JApanese solders were
ranked in 3 level, A, B, C.
A is the most heavy charge which is death penalty.
the guilty person is hung until die.
Moreover, the body of hunged persons are not sent to
their families even the families never be told where the
body is buried. It was a strict rule.

The change is the history is like this.
Today you are hero, and tomorrow you will be hung.

The man ordered to kill an American solder judged as rank A.
It was misunderstanding. but what the man could do in the traial
executed by English speakers who emphasize on the free will
to chose his own will. Both regarding language problem and
democratic idea was a begining of the tragetic misunderstanding.
And the movie goes as if the misunderstanding can be solved
but it never happens. he was hung.

He was characterize as a cheerful person who never lose the
hope but at last scene, he wrote a will that he never want to
be reborn as a human. I can't post this anymmore today.
it's too hard to remember this movie. after some time
i will post more on this, sorry.

Lighting and Some Stories

As you know, this is a season of lighting.
Although Japan is not a country of Christian,
but I can see a lot of lighting decoration verywhere in Tokyo.
It is obvious that the lighting tells Christmas is coming soon.

Especially the lighting in Tokyo midtown was really beautiful.
I was interested in the designer who created the design of the lighting.

Language between Parents and Chidren;

Last day I met a guy from Italy and currently he works in German.
He is having soft atmosphere around him and has lots of experience to work
aound the world.
We have known with each other though my colleague.
The guy has a child and he told us a problem which he has got recently.
The ploblem is the language which his son is speaking.
He was married with a woman from German and he talks with her
in English. And his son is going to school where the lessons are held in German.
The son is good at speaking German more than English and the father (Italian guy)
almost cannot speak German.

What will happen if the son and his father cannot communicate propery?
It would be a big motivation for the father to learn the language his son is speaking.

Although I'm sure that the son will lean English sooner or later but the age of elementary school effects relatively big on his personality. The lack of communicaton with father seems not good.

Not a Boy, but a Man;

My brother called me last day over the phone and he asked me that
"Is it OK if I wear that T-shirts with the shoes? you know, T-shirts I mention is the one which has a print at the center, ...yes, yes, that white one. and make sure that the shoes I am talking about is the black one with pink shoe races, you know it, right? I have weared it for some time"
I asked him why he asked me such a fashion comments since he never asked it to me
like it is emergency for him.
But immidiately after I asked the answer, I can't help stopping to smile
"I have to go to the station to pick up my girl friend!"
For me he was a only kid who is easy to cry, loves snacks and sweets;)
He growed up! Of course I knew it but this phone call reminds me of
the fact.

Positive Game;

I always remember the game I and my friend created in university days.
It is word playing game. Especially our favorite rule was that we can use only positive words in the game. Actually I was tought this game by seniors.
For example,If I say "BRAVE", the next person has to say the word
starts with "E" in positive meanings. In this case, the next person
could anwer, for example, "ENCOURAGE" or "EVOLUTION", or anything
related to positiveness. But what will happen If the next person
answers, for example,"ELEVATOR"? Nobody knows an elevator is a positive or not.
Then the person has to explain why he thinks that an eleveter is positive thing.
He may answer that an elevator is a thing which lifts up something. And it is basically possitive to lift up somthing. For example, women usually want their skin to lift up especially in middle age. And If the explanation can get a consensus among the players, then ELEVATOR is approved as a positive words. If not, the person who says ELEVATOR needs to put more explanation to persuade the palyer or just he changes the word. The key of this game is how much you can be possitive and pasuasive to the people who has differnt thoughts. It can be good exercise when you are in negative.

4 Blood types;

Blood type A is thought they are sensitive.
Blood type B is thought they go thier own way
Blood type O is thought they are tolerant
Blood type AB is thought they are genius or strange.

It is said 60% of Japanese belongs to Blood type A.
Me? secret;)

I happen to know that the location of LYBIA in Africa
and the president there hasn't changed for 30 years!
and it is undone to regisgter every polulation in the country.
It must be not everyone can get social welfare.
I want to know the situation there more in details.

1 Day Trip to Korea

I've heard it is possioble to trip to Korea within a day.
there is a flight from Tokyo to korea 6:00 am and
the flight from Korea 11:00 pm. I want to trip to korea
on the weekend with a friends who studied in Korea using an
exchange program.

2008年11月13日木曜日

What comes next?!

I literally work hard until today.
I was responsible for a event in my job and
It was really good exerience to get involved in
the activities.
I just wake up, and preapare myself,
take a piece of chocolate as a breakfast, rush to catch a
train and working, somwtimes forget lunch,
and work again, then go back to my place
and take shower, no time to think of anything,
immidiatelly go to bed.
and weekend, hunging out with friends until past three o'clock,
sleep 4 hours, and again I meet my friend to spend 3 hours
in karaoke from the morning, and meeting other friends at
a kind of bar.

I could spare the time to make landry and hung them on the
hungers or anywhere else, but couldn't have a time to
take them and hold them to place inside of the shelf.

it seems the dried up landries is a cartin near the window.
Ok, I'll work on it soon.

That was my life in this 2 week.

If you are concentrated on one thing,
you can use your energy fully for it.
I decided not to think something deeply,
My behaviour these days made a provement that
moving one's body is the best solution.

Then, What's next?
I need something which I can concentrated on.
Oh, I have forgoten to study on MCA.
which is executed only in Japan. Something related
to Microsoft certification.
I need to know more about platform and application
to improve my performance.

I should take at least one certification
within this year. what else?
maybe one more language I can start to learn.

and I want to lose my weight by 3kg.
need to take a time to run as well.

so I have a lot of things to do again,
Time should pass quickly, please.
I will do my best to enjoy my life time as much as I can
but still I wish time flys soon.

I could work with many kind of people,
different nationality different section of business, etc.

What I was happy is a executive told me
that my english is good. ok, To tell the truth,
he is Japanese;)
But I hope it was a result of listening to podcast
of Business English for 5-10 minuites every weekday
in the train.

think less

It's difficult to tell you What I did in this weekend cause
I did lot of thing. no time to think deeply something,
I just do what I want to do and have to do.

Think deeply is one of my charactaristic point and
sometimes it seems too much.
I try to avoid thinking too much this week.

I had a short trip with friends to Izu, where is one of the famous
place to go within 1 days from Tokyo.
There are many hot spas there and the spa we went this time
was exactly facing to the ocean even I was worried that
someone in the seashore could see us with a telescope.

But actually it was really nice to be in the hot spa
with the view of the big ocean. it gave us the thinking
that the existance of people is really a part of a planet
and what I was confused is only a small tiny thing so that
it doesn't make a sence to crying over something.

Next day, I went to good cafes and karaoke with friends.
The cafe served us unique food and it satysfy our expectation.
Tokyo is a small are without natures, crowded place especially
in central part. Then you see the culture of mixing one and another,
evolving new combinations. For example, having a cup of capcino in Japanese
traditional interia or Thai green curry with miso soup, antique chairs
and having formed green tea with hand- made potteries.
Karaoke, of course you know it, is the place to sing a song to release
your stress or enjoying the music video which is played in the display with
lyrics while you are singing.

Recently I have one favorite singer, who is Amuro-Namie.
Her songs are taseted in R&B or reggae, Although I see
much infuence of US there, but anyway, in she is hot.
What I like is "White light" which is a number giving
the girlish feeling to the person who sings the song.

I don't want to think anything now, I just want to move
my body not my brain. Time should pass quickly,
And I want to be around 30 or a little bit lower age
with experiences to be a translator of technical issues and
picture books both. then I don't have to care of the place
I work.

I'll work hard and what else can I do now.

My skill or experience may be a help in the future
to the one who I want to support.

The caprices of a chance;)

As I get to be busy at work, some qusetions come up in my mind all the time.

1.Does it really make sence to work so hard?
2.Is there any other option to live my life?

Question 1 would be answered by following.
-"don't work so hard. work easy. it is all depend on you,
it is you who won't be needed in the campany if the severe economic
situation attack your company".
As for Q2, some of my female friends, in fact most girls
have the same thought in their mind at unconcious level,
give the answer like this. "Quit your job. Be a wife for someone".

Hey,no offence.Don't be angry boys but it is the fact.
It seems like a final escape route for girls to get married
to someone. I'm sure most girls tend to think about marriage
if they made a mistake in job or feel unconfortable with
business environment such as cost reduction, no budget,
report to who and who, responsibilty, compete to everything,
internal struggle, etc...

OK, I can say girls sit on the clture that it is actually OK
if they do well in the family.
But the qeustion is this.
What will the end of the marriage if you get married for escaping from
something? I guess it is only be a help to make the habitual style of avoiding
difficulities pretending that you take another option.

Here I would say marriage should be sponaneous.
If you couldn't meet someone who you really want to get married,
No meaning to be a blide.

If you like someone, You do like him/her.
For example, this situation may happen.
After you prepared completely for marriage,
you found that there is no one who you want to get married around you.
because you miss the person who you really wanted to be together with
while you were preparing!
In this case, what good is a time oriented thinking for marriage.

but sometimes situation doesn't allow couples to be together.
That is another story.

I myself haven't decided to get married with someone.
but at least don't want to miss the right person.
Of course no intention to chain, freedom should always
be owned for everyone.
