Do you know "GOVIDA" chocolate?

It is known as a high quality chocolate brand
from Bergium.

What it the meaning of GODIVA?
GODIVA is the name of a woman
whose husband was a lord of small region.

Oneday the lord decided to take heavy tax
from people.
but the Lady GODIVA, as a wife of lord,
stopped the lord to do it to try to
help poor people.

The lord got angry with her proposal and
he ordered his wife to run outside naked
on a horse to show how she is serious with
her wards.

Then Lady GODIVA did it. while she was running
outside naked, people close the window
not to see her to show respect toward her.

It was the sroty in 11th centry in England

In 1926, a husband and wife started chocolate
shop in Bergium and they named the shop after
the brave women Lady GODIVA.

they saw the deep consideration for people
in lady DOGIVA and make chocolate with
the feeling she had.

that's why the symbol mark of GODIVA
is the naked woman on a horse.


and 14th on february is St.Valentine day.
we Japanese Chocolate campany sell the amount of
chocolate which is one third of whole thier sales in a year.

Fist Snowfall in Tokyo

Lazy in the morning, because of going out
late at night yesterday, I decided to go to
library in University today.

when I opened the door
what I found was beautiful white snowfall.
I was so surprised cause I didn't see
it from inside of house.

of course it was quite cold outside
I am not good at cold even I was born in winter.
It was first snowing this winter here.

But I felt fun a bit regardless of terrible cold.
I couldn't help calling my friend to tell
the fact that we got the first snow and
she laughed at me
"Thank you for telling it kindly"

maybe it will be best for me to see snow falling
from inside of warm room with hot coffee.

pure white snow in dark black night.
pure white suger in dark black coffee.
nnn....coffee became poetic drink!

Takuya Kimura?

I drew a portrait without any model

what I thought was only that
there is eyes, nouse and mouth in human face
and how I could draw it well
only by my imagination.


and after I finish to draw,
I found curious thing.

the face I drew resembled one of the most
popular actor in Japan.

actually I 'm not huge fun of him
but there are many oppotunities to see him on
advertizing or TV programs or magazines.

I've heard intersting story that
the most favorable face is the
most average one.

It doesn't have to have something special
or strong feature on a face.
meanwhile "no mistake"face is good.

while drawing, I was thinking
to keep a good balance on every parts
on a face and that might help to
handsome man who looks like TV star.
his name is Takuya Kimura whose nickname is
Kimu-taku.

they are from famous art university.

thier comedy style is quite unique in Japan
and worth to check.

under the tree

school days

I was in the train sitting and reading
handouts for a report.

I was thinking which theme should be selected.

I was thinking in my mind...
"shakespere...? but about which drama?
The teacher gave us too big theme..."

Maybe It was easy to recoginze from others in the train
that I'm a student preparing for report.

suddenly an old man sitting next to me
talked to me pointing at the file on which
my uviversity name is witten.

he said,
"I was a student there."
actually first I was really surprised because
I have never be talked by someone in the train in this way
aeven I don't expect we have something in common.

we had small talk for a while and said good bye
at the point of changing train.

It was rare experience.

By the way
today I had a final class. it was
business english course and we had
demonstration practice of negotiation.

"what would you say if I ordered.....?"
".....we need 10% more for priduction cost because...
overpayment for workers....,but if you agree on
...5%discount..." blablabla.

we finished class and
immediately went to karaoke.
we should cerebrate(?) that we
stuk to the class!

this was after karaoke.
yeah, it is everyday student life.

Recentry I saw pretty animation.
It was enough to inspire me to creat similar one.

Be carefull that after 3minuites of this movie
you'll see only black window. nothing will happen later.only music
you 'll hear.





I just made it. no specific plan.
as the story goes, I knew next step which
I should do automatically.

I forgot long time has passed
after beginig to work on making movie.

I remember I could't see what happened around myself
if I 'm absorbed in something in my childhood.

There is a tree which gives a boy every thing he want.

His request becomes bigger and bigger.

At first he asked the tree to give him an apple.
but as he grows up, he starts to ask the tree money.

The tree cuts its branches and give them to the boy
to make money for selling them.

But the tree was happy when it see the boy's smile.
the giving tree kept devoting itself for the boy.

The boy never know what he've done.
Desire never finish like a fountain from the ground.

Does the tree accept everything too much?
but it is natural to want a smile from loved one.

The love in this story seems the matter between
parents and child.

"was the tree happy?
by the way what is happiness in the first place?"

if you began to think of it,
now you fall into the author's hand.


Good books always give you a deep question.
It depends on authors skill how deep the readers
get insight of the question.

I think I haven't met this kind of book for long time.
the giving tree
the theme itself is not something new.
but I was impressed with the settting and stracture.

hello 2008!

long time no posting!

I was totally relaxed in my hometown
form my birth day(Dec.28th) to New year.

Meeting with family, old friends,
celebrating New years hearing the watch-night bell,
visiting relatives,
just staying at home doing nothing....etc!

what a stress free place my sweet home was!
I haven't stayed there for long time as I did this holiday.
It was real holiday. yes.

maybe I should draw something dor celebrating New Year
but I couldn't find anything interesting.

Instead of it, here is my recent favorite singer.
he is half Japanese and half Canadian as I remember.

I used new way to color picture.

"cosmetics"

I hit on this idear after cleaning my
cosmetic box. I was about to throw away some
eye shadows.
